Sunday, May 31, 2026 9 a.m. - Worship Service ~ In-person and via Zoom

Dear Friends,
This Sunday, we gather for Trinity Sunday — a day that reminds us that at the heart of God is relationship, connection, and love.
In a world that often feels divided, exhausting, and uncertain, we will hear again the beautiful creation story from Genesis and Jesus’ promise from Matthew’s Gospel: “I am with you always.”
Our worship this week will focus on a simple but hopeful truth: God is still creating. - Still creating light in dark places.
- Still creating hope in weary hearts.
- Still creating community in a disconnected world.
Together we will sing, pray, reflect, and remember that faith does not require perfect answers — only open hearts willing to receive and share love.
Whether you have been in church your whole life, are carrying questions, or simply need a place to breathe and reconnect, you are welcome here.
Worship begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at Peru Community Church.
Come as you are. Bring your joys, your worries, your doubts, and your hopes. There is a place for you here. |

Dear Friends,
Grace and peace to you. I want to invite you to an important congregational gathering this Sunday, May 31, at 10:15 a.m., immediately following worship.
During this time together, we will share information and engage in conversation regarding the possibility of moving forward with the purchase of an Allen Organ to support the future of worship and music ministry in our church.
Over the past months, the Music Team and church leadership have been reflecting carefully on the realities we are currently facing. Our present instrument has served this congregation faithfully for many years, but it is aging and becoming less reliable over time. At the same time, churches throughout our region are experiencing a growing shortage of trained organists and musicians available for regular worship leadership.
In addition, much of the weekly work of preparing music has increasingly fallen on a small number of dedicated individuals. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and generosity, but we also recognize the importance of creating a system that is sustainable for the future.
As part of this conversation, we have been exploring the possibility of a digital Allen Organ that would: - Support strong congregational singing
- Provide reliable and consistent music for worship
- Allow music to be recorded and prepared during the week
- Reduce pressure on volunteers and musicians
- Help sustain worship for years to come
During Sunday’s meeting, we will: - Share the current realities facing our music ministry
- Hear a presentation from Brad representing the Allen Organ Company
- Discuss the financial aspects of the proposal and possible capital campaign plans
- Share that there is already $30,000 committed toward the project
- Open the floor for questions, concerns, and conversation
- Seek a sense of congregational consensus about empowering the Leadership Board to continue moving forward if the necessary funding is secured
It is important to emphasize that this gathering is intended to be both informational and conversational. This is not simply about purchasing an instrument. It is about how we sustain meaningful worship, support those who serve, and thoughtfully prepare for the future of this congregation.
Your presence and participation matter greatly, and I hope you will plan to stay after worship and be part of this important conversation.
If you have any questions ahead of time, please feel free to reach out to me or a member of the Music Team.
Thank you for your continued care, faith, and commitment to the life of this church.
Grace and peace,
Pastors Phil and Leigh Abbie Breen, Ken Edwards, Chris Mullin, Rob LaFountain, and Jim Stafford - Members of the Music Team |

Granny's Attic Thank You!
Many thanks to EVERYONE who turned out for every step of this very important ministry of the church. From dropping off items, to sorting and setting up, to working the sale, to cleaning up, to counting the money, to delivering leftover items, to putting signs up and taking them down, and finally storing all the “good stuff” away for the next sale — you are so appreciated and valued! Final profit is pending - yes, we still have buyers! |

| Your time, energy, generosity, and teamwork helped make this event a wonderful success. Thank you for sharing your gifts and serving with such care and dedication! Granny is going to rest, see you in the Fall! |
