| A Message from Pastor Phil |
Dear Friends,
Grace and peace to you.
I want to share with you an upcoming opportunity in my ministry that I receive with deep gratitude. From April 30 through May 11, I will be away participating in Preachers: Rest. Work. Play., an initiative of United Methodists of Upper New York supported by the Lilly Endowment’s Compelling Preaching Initiative.
This program is rooted in a simple but powerful truth: those who are called to preach and lead also need intentional rhythms of rest, renewal, and reflection. Earlier this year, a group of clergy gathered for this experience and discovered something profound—that what they thought would simply be rest became a deeper awakening to how much renewal they truly needed.
I will be traveling to Alaska as part of this next cohort. This time is not merely a trip, but a sacred invitation to step back from the day-to-day demands of ministry, to listen more deeply for God’s voice, and to return renewed in body, mind, and spirit.
I am grateful for your support in making this possible. Please know that the life and ministry of the church will continue in my absence, and care will be available as needed. If something urgent arises, you may contact the church office or Pastor Leigh McCaffrey and appropriate arrangements will be made.
I look forward to returning with new energy, fresh perspective, and stories to share from this meaningful experience.
Thank you for your prayers, your partnership in ministry, and the grace we extend to one another as we seek to live faithfully.
In Christ’s peace,
Rev. Phil Richards |
Renew - Restore - Rebuild: Our Stewardship Vision for 2026/2027
The Annual Stewardship Campaign will begin on May 1st. In the coming days, you will receive a letter along with a support commitment card. We invite you to take a little time in prayer and reflection, considering how you might share your gifts in the year ahead. Your generosity, in whatever form it takes, helps nurture our ministries, care for one another, and extend God’s love into our community.
Support cards should be returned on Sunday, May 17th when we will receive and dedicate the cards. Soon after, the Stewardship Team will build a budget to bring to the Church Council.
Thank you for being such an important part of this shared work.
With gratitude and hope, Amanda Corse, Cindi LaFountain, Rev. Leigh McCaffrey & Christina Mullen |

Have you ever asked yourself…
- How can I get more involved at church?
- What can I do to help?
- How can I share my time and talents?
We invite you to complete our Interest Survey! You can fill it out online right HERE or pick up a paper copy and return it to the box near the church entry.
The Church Council will be meeting in May to consider the needs of the church, form teams, and invite people to serve. Your responses will help guide those decisions—especially if you feel called to a particular area of ministry.
Thank you for sharing your gifts with our church community! |
