Dear Friends,
What does it mean to keep our light burning in a world that sometimes feels so full of darkness?
This Sunday at Peru Community Church, we'll explore Jesus' challenging parable of the ten bridesmaids in Matthew 25:1-13. It's a story about waiting, preparation, and unexpected surprises. But it also raises some important questions about generosity, compassion, and who gets welcomed inside. What if the point isn't simply making sure our own lamps stay lit? What if it's making sure nobody has to walk through the darkness alone?
Together, we'll reflect on the kind of community Jesus calls us to become: one that doesn't hoard its light, doesn't close its doors, and makes room for everyone. There is still hope to nurture, love to share, and a more compassionate world to help create.
Join us Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at Peru Community Church.
Come as you are. Bring your questions, your hopes, and your whole self. There's a place for you here! Hope to see you Sunday! |

Winter Offering: Help Keep Our Church Warm
As we head into the winter months, we know that the costs of keeping our church warm and accessible increase. Higher heating fuel prices, electricity prices, along with snow plowing and snow removal, add to our regular expenses.
To help meet these seasonal needs, we will be receiving a special Winter Offering on the third Sunday of each month, November through March.
If you would like to contribute, simply place your gift in one of the special offering envelopes included in the bulletin on those Sundays. |
|
Every gift, no matter the size, helps us care for our church building and keep it warm, safe, and welcoming for everyone who gathers here throughout the winter.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping us care for our church home and the community we serve! |

Church Banner Sponsorship Opportunity
The Altar Team is seeking sponsors to help purchase the new Lent/Easter banners seen below and on the task board in the coffee hour area of the church.
Each banner costs $150 and may be dedicated in honor of or in memory of a loved one. A commem-orative tag is included with each banner, allowing the honored individual's name(s) to be displayed.
These banners are the same high quality as those currently hanging in our sanctuary and will enhance our worship space for years to come.
If you would like to sponsor a banner or have any questions, please contact: Dee Davis – (518) 569-8085 Dianne Miller – (518) 643-2165
Thank you for considering this meaningful way to beautify our sanctuary while honoring someone special. |

Through stories and perspectives from across the country, we'll explore the changing face of Christianity in America and create space for honest conversation about the future of the church.
We'll gather for lunch, watch the documentary, and share our thoughts and questions.
